Praying for your Nation

I understand that this is a time of struggle and hardship in the world right now. And it seems like there is nothing that we can do about it. But the Bible has an answer to this problem.

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

1 Timothy 2:1‭-‬2 NASB

You see, according to the Word of God, we are called to pray for our leaders so that we live a tranquil and quiet life. Now I know most people today would love to go back to a tranquil and quiet life. Especially those here in the United States. But if we want that, we have to pray for our leaders. Even I will admit that until recently I hadn’t been praying for the leaders in my country, and I am sure many people would admit the same. But we must see our fault and go back to our responsibility in our prayer. We are called to pray, and I think that all Christians need to shake off any division and come together for the world in prayer. If we can move mountains, we can heal the world.

And He *said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Matthew 17:20 NASB

Hope you guys enjoyed this little blog post. I wanted to write it to encourage the Church to pray for the nations. We can live in peace and prosperity, it is simply a matter of choosing to get on our knees and go to the Father. I would appreciate if you would share this on social media and make sure to follow the blog! Thanks!
