Jesus the Perfect Sacrifice

I was reading in Leviticus the other day and I noticed that there was a passage that covered a rule for all freewill sacrifices that could be brought before the lord.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel or of the aliens in Israel who presents his offering, whether it is any of their votive or any of their freewill offerings, which they present to the Lord for a burnt offering— for you to be accepted— it must be a male without defect from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats.

Leviticus 22:17‭-‬19 NASB

Now there are four things here. When anyone of Israel and any aliens (foreigner) in Israel would have to present a male from the bulls, sheep, or goats for their freewill offering. The first one is that the offering had to be male, which Jesus was. The second, is that the offering had to be from the bulls, sheep, or goats. Jesus is called the Lamb of God. The third is that the offering was a freewill offering. And we also have to go to the cross on our own freewill and choice. And the fourth and last way is that the sacrifice had to be perfect. And in the same way Jesus lived a perfect life according to the Law of Moses. In a ton of ways here, Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the freewill offering. And even we fulfill this sacrifice when we come to Christ on our freewill.

knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
