So the other day I was recording a podcast with my buddy and before I went to record, I prayed about what I should talk about. And one of the things that was brought to my mind was this idea of how the Gospel repairs humanities unity. I shared it on the podcast, which hasn’t come out yet, but I wanted to share it on the blog as well. So let’s check it out.
Now for some time, I have thought on the interesting fact that God cares about the small things in our interpersonal relationships. And that means anything from family, romantic partners, friends, or even acquaintances. But when I was praying the other day about this subject, I realized why God cares about the little things in our relationships. It all has to do with the Tower of Babel.
And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”Genesis 11:6-7 NKJV
You see, when God saw that the people were in unity, He said that nothing was impossible for us. This is what God wants to do for us. If we yeild to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, we can start to walk in harmony with everyone around us. This will lead to deeper unity which will allow us to walk in the potential that God has always had for us. That nothing would be impossible for us to accomplish. We have limitless potential in unity, and the Gospel can bring us to unify around good, and can teach us how to have perfect unity. Let us focus on unity today and ask God to delevop us for this purpose.
